Every card, set in Vellum

The companion to the specimen: how the theme renders every editor card — callouts, buttons, toggles, bookmarks, galleries and full-bleed images.

The specimen covers prose. This one covers the cards — the blocks the Ghost editor inserts, and how Astrix dresses them.

Callouts

✳️
An accent callout, for the line that matters most on the page.
💡
A tinted callout, for an aside that should not interrupt the argument.
📌
And a quiet one, for a footnote you still want seen.

Buttons

For the moment the reader is meant to act:

Toggles

For the detail most readers can skip:

Why is the measure 65 characters?

Because the eye loses the start of the next line somewhere past 75, and feels hurried below about 45. Sixty-five is the middle of a wide, forgiving band — not a magic number, just a safe one.

Bookmarks

Ghost — the independent publishing platform
The professional publishing platform for independent writers and publications.

Images, at three widths

Standard width
Standard width — inside the reading measure.
Wide
Wide — breaking out of the measure, but still contained.
Full bleed
Full width — edge to edge.

Galleries

If a card renders badly here, it renders badly everywhere — which is the point of keeping this page.
